Purchase a beautiful poinsettia grown by Down Home Ranch! By ordering a poinsettia, you help to decorate the sanctuary for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. You may indicate if your plant is In Honor of or In Memory of a loved one.

You may take your poinsettia home after the Christmas Eve service or leave it at the church to be donated to area shut-ins.

Poinsettias will be $15 each.

Please include your payment with order form and return to the FUMC office or place in the offering plate.

Deadline date to order is Tuesday, December 17.

Re-Construction Update

August 20, 2021

Dear Church,
This email is a notification and update on the church work progress and expectations in the coming weeks.

  • 8/23/21 onward: 4 40-ft containers will be delivered to the church and placed on our parking lot’s east side (Kimbro).
  • 8/26: Movers will be at the church to move all furniture and belongings from the offices and classrooms to the containers.
  • 8/30 – 9/3: Sisk-Robb, Inc. will remove all asbestos flooring impacted during the winter freeze. The areas impacted were the narthex, hallways, offices, classrooms, closets, and bathrooms. The sanctuary tested negative for asbestos; thereby, it does not need abatement. The fellowship hall and hallway from the east and west doors were not impacted during the flood and, therefore, will not be abated.
  • During the abatement process, no one will be allowed on the premises except for the workers.
  • 9/4 or shortly after: Movers will be on-site to remove all pews from the sanctuary and place them in the containers.
  • 9/4 or shortly after: Re-construction to the floor, walls, and sanctuary ceiling will begin.
  • If you have extra boxes, please drop them off at the church. If you are available to pack up a couple of boxes, we would truly appreciate your help. If you have personal belongings at the church, please remove them by 8/25. Everything in the abatement areas must be removed, boxed, and be ready for the movers by Wednesday evening, 8/25/21.
  • If you have concerns or questions, please share them with the Trustees or the pastor. The next Trustees’ meeting will be Tuesday, August 24, at 8:00 P.M. As a friendly reminder, all church meetings are open to members. You may attend in person or via Zoom. The meeting ID# is 928 3017 1055.

Peace and grace,
Pastor Sela
