In the meantime, here is our conference worship celebration from yesterday, Saturday, 2.5.22, as we welcomed our new episcopal leader, Bishop Saenz, and wife, Maye Saenz, to the Central Texas Annual Conference (Fort Worth Episcopal Area) of The United Methodist Church.

Lois Jean Clark Stevens Dearest Friends in Christ! You may have already received the news that our beautiful, musical, funny, faithful, and loving servant Jean Stevens has transitioned from this world to her heavenly home Friday morning, November 26, 2021. Jean and Leland joined First United Methodist Church – Taylor on May 29, 1988. Jean played the piano for the church for many years. When she retired, she would still substitute many times. Jean was active in the church and held multiple roles in the community and the public schools as a music teacher. Let us give thanks to God for Jean’s life, and the time we were privileged to know and serve alongside her. We are grateful and blessed to have known Jean and her faithfulness to her family, friends, community, and church. Please keep Leland and their family in your prayers. You may check the funeral home’s website for the obituary when it becomes available. In the meantime, here is a story about Jean posted on our website.
